The poet, the saint and the navigator: the idea

“In 1968 an extraordinary event happened in Italy. Matermax, an alien from the Mm planet, arrived in Rome for an important mission: to observe the life of three typical Italian persons, because Italic nation was chosen by his ultramodern computer as representative of all human race.  The examination period was 34 years long, that, for a Mm creature, corresponds to 6 of our months. Matermax’s computer selected three babies that, on the genetic code, promised the characteristics for whom Italy was celebrated by its government in the first years of ‘900: “Land of poets, saints and navigators”. So, the supercomputer chose Efrem Themesghen, David Zekrya and Malì Tomoro. What ironic destiny, they were immigrates... In 2002, at the end of his trip, Matermax made a decision: to leave notes about his work to a terrestrial creature, a human person, an Italian citizen, to share his experience with him and anyone else. This man is Alessandro Ghebreigziabiher and four years later, thanks to Fermento Publisher, a book was born: The poet, the saint and the navigator.”
